The Riverdale Raiders's three-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They strolled past Southeast with points to spare, taking the game 87-71. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Konnor Vonhagen, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 25 rebounds. Vonhagen continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Juan Ortiz, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 assists.
The victory got Riverdale back to even at 8-8. As for Southeast, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.
Riverdale will face off against Riverview Sarasota at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. Riverview Sarasota is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Southeast, they will square off against Fort Myers at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
