Mid-Central recap Oct. 30, 2012
Hoisington's Chance Demel rumbled for the longest rushing play in Mid-Central this season in his game against More Prep-Marian last week. Demel's team beat the Monarchs as he sprinted for 88 yards on the play and finished with 159 in all.
Larned/Pawnee Heights's dynamic duo of Easton Palmer and Jamil Shoemaker proved tough for Pratt to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Palmer threw for 186 yards and one touchdown and Shoemaker had 95 yards receiving. Brady Keith helped Larned/Pawnee Heights' passing attack out by catching two balls for 33 yards.
Michael Pata made the biggest impact on defense this week as Hoisington bested More Prep-Marian. The senior racked up one sack.
Larned/Pawnee Heights' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Palmer has thrown for 1234 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Shoemaker has 29 catches for 506 yards. Keith leads the league in rushing with 1068 yards.
Jason Ingram's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 45 points on the Monarchs. Hagan Hanzlick threw for 64 yards and one touchdown and ran for 110 yards in the win.
