Hamilton came tearing into  Thursday's  contest with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged out the Indian Hill Braves  8-6.
 Landon Fields looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in five consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Austin Payne was a standout: he got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  runs and one  double. He is becoming a predictor of Hamilton's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is undefeated (and 8-12 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of  Caleb Warner, who  went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  run.
Hamilton pushed their record up to 12-12 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Indian Hill, their defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 16-6.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton will square off against Goshen at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Indian Hill, they will challenge Elder at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
