It was a good run, but Corunna unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Goodrich Martians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Martians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 4th.
Corunna couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Goodrich a tough time in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 30-32, 25-19.
Zoey Sellers-King paced Corunna's offense, picking up 14 kills. Sellers-King got some help from Mackenzie Lecureaux and her 18 assists. Rachel Steinacker controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Corunna's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11-4. As for Goodrich, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7.
