Dublin won the last time they faced Southwest and things went their way on Friday too. The Fighting Irish blew past the Patriots 48-6. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-6.

Dublin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Travion Bostic, who rushed for 202 yards and one TD on only 13 carries. Those 202 rushing yards gave Bostic a new career-high. Jeff Davis was in the mix too, providing Dublin with two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Dublin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 532 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 235 rushing yards in 16 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Dublin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Davis and Nazyon Mitchell.

The win got Dublin back to even at 1-1. As for Southwest, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
