The biggest upset of the week belonged to Salem, who took down 193rd ranked Hinds County Agricultural, 15-8. Stevie Quinn ran for 137 yards in the win.
Bogue Chitto extended the longest winning streak in 1A Region 4 this week by beating Hartfield Academy, 40-3. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Bogue Chitto's dynamic duo of Brock Roberts and Germie Martin proved tough for the Hawks to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Roberts threw for 145 yards and three touchdowns and Martin had 81 yards receiving. Dennis Rogers helped Bogue Chitto's passing attack out by catching five balls for 64 yards.
Tevin Moore provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Stringer defeated Dexter. He completed three passes for 29 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 187 yards. Moore's favorite target this week was Lazarius Jones, who caught one pass for 15 yards.
Gareth Sartin's team's Roberts and Martin have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Roberts has thrown for 887 yards this season, while Martin has 29 catches for 606 yards. The Red Devils' Anthony Moore leads the league in rushing yards with 813.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Cathedral takes on the Bobcats. The Green Wave are currently in fifth, while Bogue Chitto is in first.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Cathedral takes on the Bobcats. Ron Rushing's team has allowed 86 points this season, while Bogue Chitto has given up 45. The Green Wave allowed 12 points last week as they bested Mount Olive.
St. Aloysius was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 10th to seventh in 1A Region 4. The Flashes beat Resurrection Catholic 21-6 earlier in the week.
