The St. Stephens Indians entered their tilt with the North Iredell Raiders with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. St. Stephens blew past North Iredell 78-50 at home on Tuesday. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point St. Stephens had established a 23 point advantage.
St. Stephens found their leader in underclassman Noah VanBeurden, who scored 23 points along with two steals. VanBeurden hasn't dropped below 20 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jonah Long, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
St. Stephens' victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for North Iredell, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.
St. Stephens will head out on the road to take on Hickory at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hickory will roll in looking for their 20th straight victory, something St. Stephens surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Iredell, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against North Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in North Lincoln's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
