Veritas Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Luke Niemeyer and Jake Markham. Niemeyer went 9 for 14 en route to 23 points, while Markham went 6 of 14 on his way to 15 points. Markham is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Uriah Reardon, who posted six points in addition to ten rebounds and three blocks.
Elsberry's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for Veritas Christian Academy, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7.
Elsberry will challenge North Callaway at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. North Callaway has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. As for Veritas Christian Academy, they will take on Hancock at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
