Basketball Game Preview: Colony Titans vs. South Hills Huskies

The Colony Titans will head out on the road to take on the South Hills Huskies at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Colony is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They took a 70-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Villa Park. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (57), the Titans still had to take the loss.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Desmond Flanagan, who posted 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Those 14 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Terron Grant, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards.

Meanwhile, South Hills came up short against Los Altos on Wednesday, falling 88-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (55), the Huskies still had to take the loss.

South Hills has been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season. As for Colony, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.

Colony didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against South Hills when the teams last played two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 60-55 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colony since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
