Parke Heritage has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Cascade Cadets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Parke Heritage is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cascade in Indiana (Parke Heritage is ranked 92nd, while Cascade is ranked 246th).
Parke Heritage has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 22 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 62-33 victory over Southmont at home. The win was just what Parke Heritage needed coming off of a 74-51 defeat in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Emma Simpson, who scored 16 points along with 7 steals and 5 rebounds. The matchup was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. Raegan Ramsay was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Meanwhile, Cascade's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They strolled past Western Boone with points to spare, taking the game 53-36.
McCutcheon's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Parke Heritage's loss dropped theirs to 4-2.
Parke Heritage took a serious blow against Cascade in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 80-41. Can Parke Heritage avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
