The West Central Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Tri-Central Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
West Central can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They put the hurt on Taylor with a sharp 52-27 win. West Central pushed the score to 32-6 by the end of the third, a deficit Taylor cut but never quite recovered from.
Connor Marlatt continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 85 yards and four touchdowns, while also throwing for 98 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes. Jacob Pilarski and his 90 yards on the ground were also a key factor in West Central's win.
Meanwhile, Tri-Central had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They beat Frontier by the very same score they won with last week: 41-35. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
West Central's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Tri-Central, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 5-6.
