Pinecrest Gets a Boost from Spencer in 42-13 Victory
Starting off the list is Pinecrest's Zymire Spencer, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Spencer rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 127 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Spencer might have his next game, a home matchup with Lee County, circled on his calendar. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Spencer saw the Yellow Jackets), he rushed for 228 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry.

Hayne Tobias Turns in Season-Best Effort
Union Pines was led to victory by Hayne Tobias, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Tobias picked up 79 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The performance also marked the most rushing yards (eight) he has had since back in October of 2023.
Union Pines' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. They and Richmond are set to duel on Friday.

Another Game with at Least Seven Total Tackles from Keyshaun Mcqueen
Scotland came up short on Friday despite Keyshaun Mcqueen delivering his best game to date. Mcqueen wasn't messing around, picking up two sacks and making nine total tackles. The game was his seventh straight with seven or more total tackles dating back to last season.
Scotland's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-4. Mcqueen and Scotland will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pinecrest at 7:30 p.m. on October 18th.

Chris Najm Dazzles in Pinecrest Win
Another Pinecrest player making an appearance on this list is Chris Najm. He rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns.
Southern Lee's probably not too fond of Najm given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Najm saw the Cavaliers), he rushed for 270 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry.
