After flying high against the Covington Latin Trojans last Saturday, the Iroquois Raiders came back down to earth. Iroquois was outmatched by the Cougars at home and fell 58-13. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Iroquois has scored all season.
Iroquois dropped their record down to 3-13 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.6 points per game. As for Holy Cross, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Iroquois will take on the Dragons at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Doss will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Holy Cross, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Wolverines at 7:30 p.m.
