The Taylor Ducks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 27 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 76-12 victory over Austin Achieve at home. That 76-12 margin sets a new team best for Taylor this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Taylor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Asia Zachary, who scored 14 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Tiana Candee, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Taylor's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-7. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.75 points. As for Austin Achieve, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor will face off against Manor New Tech at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Manor New Tech's defense has only allowed 24.2 points per game this season, so Taylor's offense will have their work cut out for Taylor. Austin Achieve will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Caldwell at 6:15 p.m. on December 15th. Caldwell has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 18.
