After three games on the road, Santa Fe Indian is heading back home. They will take on the Bernalillo Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Fe Indian will be strutting in after a victory while Bernalillo will be coming in after a loss.
Last Saturday, Santa Fe Indian blew past Academy for Technology and The Classics, posting a 47-20 win on the road.
Emma Lewis was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Santa Fe Indian's points. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Coriz, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought game, but Bernalillo had to settle for a 35-33 defeat against Moriarty on Saturday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bernalillo in their matchups with Moriarty: they've now lost three in a row.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-1.
Everything came up roses for Santa Fe Indian against Bernalillo when the teams last played back in February of 2018 as the squad secured a 80-34 victory. Does Santa Fe Indian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bernalillo turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
