The Casa Roble Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Rio Linda Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Casa Roble is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Casa Roble on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Mesa Verde out of the water with a 57-6 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-0.
Casa Roble relied on the efforts of Elijah Huddle, who picked up 122 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and Connor Campbell, who threw for 259 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.0 yards per attempt. That's the first time this season that Huddle hauled in two or more receiving touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Richie Graham, who rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown on only five carries.
Meanwhile, Friday was a slow day for Rio Linda's offense, as the team failed to make it on the board. They took a hard 35-0 fall against Dixon. That means Rio Linda has now suffered back-to-back defeats.
Casa Roble's win lifted them to 5-1 while Rio Linda's loss dropped them down to 3-3.
Everything came up roses for Casa Roble against Rio Linda in their previous meeting last October as the squad secured a 47-0 win. Will this one be closer? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
