They strolled past Konos Academy with points to spare, taking the game 69-53. Given Grace Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Konos Academy is ranked 328th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Grace Christian Academy to victory were Ethan Riesberg and Jamal Francis . Riesberg dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Francis dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Riesberg has scored at least 25% of Grace Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Barkley, who scored 11 points.
Several Konos Academy players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caleb Knapp, who scored eight points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Knapp has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Paul Barnes, who scored eight points.
Grace Christian Academy pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 20.33 points. As for Konos Academy, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Grace Christian Academy will be playing at home against War Hill Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully War Hill Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. As for Konos Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against HALO at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. HALO is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
