The Front Range Christian Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the Clear Creek Golddiggers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Front Range Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
Front Range Christian took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Evangel Christian Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Falcons skirted past the Eagles 7-5. The victory was nothing new for the Falcons as they're now sitting on three straight.

Haedan Morton made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. He is becoming a predictor of Front Range Christian's success: when he allows at most three earned runs the team is 4-2 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Morton was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Morton is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Front Range Christian let Landon Deza and Nate McInturff run wild. Deza went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double, while McInturff went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most RBI McInturff has posted since back in May of 2024. Jake Dreiling was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Front Range Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Clear Creek didn't have quite enough to beat Middle Park on Monday and fell 7-5. The Golddiggers have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Wyatt Huff made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Blake Weichel, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Front Range Christian pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Clear Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Front Range Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Clear Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Front Range Christian took their win against Clear Creek when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
