The Greensburg Pirates are taking a road trip to challenge the Franklin County Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. If Greensburg beats Franklin County with 12 runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Pirates blew past Columbus East 12-4 on Wednesday. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.
Logan Meyer was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Meyer was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Franklin County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Greensburg hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .324. It's a different story for Franklin County, though, as they've only averaged .221. Will they be able to contain Greensburg's hitters?
Everything went Greensburg's way against Franklin County in their previous meeting on Monday, as Greensburg made off with a 12-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
