Two dominant backs in Jaheim Campbell and B.J. Brown are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Stringer Red Devils will host the Richton Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Richton took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Stringer, who comes in off a win.
Stringer will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up 12 points last Friday, then bounced right back against Wayne Academy on Friday. The Red Devils came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 38-30. The Red Devils pushed the score to 38-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Jaguars cut but never quite recovered from.

Kyler Gavin had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 131 yards on only eight carries. Those 131 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Stringer was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 302 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards in 16 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Richton came up short against Lumberton on Friday and fell 19-6. The Rebels haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
Richton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Zabreylan McSwain and Devontaivian Tucker. Oj Reed was another major factor on D, making 14 total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Stringer is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.0 points over those games. As for Richton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Stringer has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 309.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Richton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 191.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Stringer against Richton in their previous matchup back in November of 2020, as the squad secured a 46-7 victory. Do the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
