The Trenton Tigers will head out to challenge the Sam Rayburn Rebels at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Trenton is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Miller Grove on Saturday as they made off with a 24-1 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Tigers with their most commanding win of the season.
Wyatt Davis made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2025. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Trenton's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 7-12-2 when he doesn't).

Meanwhile, Sam Rayburn earned a 5-2 victory over Ector on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rebels.
Booker Binford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Jaxson Throneberry and Jamison Dorris did most of the damage at the plate: Throneberry went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Dorris went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Trenton's record now sits at 10-13-2. As for Sam Rayburn, their record is now 14-8.
Trenton came up short against Sam Rayburn in their previous meeting on April 3rd, falling 6-1. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
