Gerstell Academy won the last time they faced the Manchester Valley Mavericks, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Gerstell Academy strolled past Manchester Valley with points to spare, taking the game 49-33. The win made it back-to-back wins for Gerstell Academy.
Several Mavericks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Colton Enderle, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Those six rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. William Cuneo was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Manchester Valley struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Gerstell Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Manchester Valley, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Gerstell Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Lake Clifton on December 28th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Lake Clifton is ranked 69th, while Gerstell Academy is ranked 58th). Manchester Valley and Havre de Grace will round out the year against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. One thing working in Havre de Grace's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
