Kings Mountain has struggled against Ashbrook recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Kings Mountain's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Farri Martin, who scored ten points along with five rebounds, and Avery Bridges who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Ashbrook's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Duraejah Hardin, who scored 19 points. Hardin is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for four games straight. Arianna Mcdowell was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Kings Mountain's defeat was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Ashbrook, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-13.
Kings Mountain will take on Huss at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Husspresents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kings Mountain in North Carolina (Huss is ranked 238th, while Kings Mountain is ranked 537th). As for Ashbrook, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Crest at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Crest will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Ashbrook surely won't give up without a fight.
