Bluejacket had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They snuck past Claremore Christian with a 58-54 win. That result is just more of the same for Bluejacket, who also won the last time these teams played.
Coy Mcglasson, who passed for 286 yards and 7 touchdowns, was a major factor in the success. In fact, with 24 tackles Mcglasson was a force on both sides of the ball. Junior Johnny Estes was in the mix, too, providing Bluejacket with 3 touchdowns.
The victory got Bluejacket out to a 1-0 start for the season. The loss dropped Claremore Christian back to even at 1-1.
Bluejacket will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Foyil at 7:00 PM. Claremore Christian have some extra time to regroup and restrategize before their next game, which is against Prue at 7:00 PM in two weeks.
