Jayden Ivory and Owen Stiers certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Ivory scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds, while Stiers scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Stiers scored a full 38.5% of Bennett's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Azar Ghezae had an outrageously good game for DSST: Conservatory Green as he scored 32 points along with 8 assists and 8 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Ghezae has scored at least 25% of DSST: Conservatory Green's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Love, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds.
Bennett's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for DSST: Conservatory Green, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Bennett will be playing at home against Bishop Machebeuf at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Bishop Machebeuf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Friday. As for DSST: Conservatory Green, they will head out on the road to face off against Frontier Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Frontier Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 113th, while DSST: Conservatory Green is ranked 21st).
