The Wildwood Wildcats waltzed into Friday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Buchholz, posting a 70-33 victory at home. Fans of Wildwood have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Wildwood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Trinidy Harris out in front who scored 21 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Harris has scored at least 25% of Wildwood's points. Zoey Brown was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 7 assists and 6 rebounds.
Wildwood's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Buchholz, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wildwood will square off against Lecanto at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Lecanto will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Buchholz is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Gainesville at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th. Gainesville is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
