Meanwhile, Penn Cambria fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Clearfield on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 34-28 to the Bison. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Panthers, who until this game were averaging 14.3 points allowed.
Forest Hills will have to keep a close watch on Brady Jones and Evan Latterner, a pair of players who had a big impact on Penn Cambria's prior game. Jones threw for 128 yards and one touchdown on only 11 passes, while Latterner rushed for 65 yards and one TD. Latterner's longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Penn Cambria didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Grant Gides and Lilly. Corbin Vinglish was another major factor on D, making 15 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass.

Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Forest Hills has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 148.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Penn Cambria struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 241.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Forest Hills didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Penn Cambria in their previous meeting back in September, but they still walked away with a 22-18 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rangers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
