After two games on the road, Carson is heading back home. They will take on The Banning Pilots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
After soaring to 48 points the game before, Carson were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They suffered a tough 27-7 defeat at the hands of Gardena.
Carson's defeat came about despite a quality game from Kameryn Hurst, who rushed for 128 yards on only nine carries.
Meanwhile, Banning was the victim of a tough 42-20 defeat at the hands of San Pedro on Friday. Banning was down 35-14 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Steven Perez, who picked up 79 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Robert Guerrero, who threw for 202 yards and two touchdowns.
The losses dropped Carson to 8-1 and Banning to 4-5.
Carson might still be hurting after the 40-14 loss they got from Banning in their previous matchup back in September of 2022. Will Carson have more luck at home instead of on the road?
