San Marcos and Steele are an even 2-2-2 against one another since February of 2019, but likely not for long. The San Marcos Rattlers will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Steele Knights at 7:15 p.m. on February 9th.
San Marcos fell victim to Clemens' stalwart defense on Tuesday and couldn't make it onto the board. They fell just short of the Buffaloes by a score of 1-0.
Meanwhile, Steele can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They put the hurt on New Braunfels with a sharp 4-1 victory.
Steele used a slightly different lineup for their bout with New Braunfels. Andres Gutierrez made the most of the opportunity, scoring two goals. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
San Marcos now has a losing record at 4-5-1. As for Steele, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1-1.
