Boone Made His Presence Known in Rogers' 42-22 Defeat
Starting off the list is Rogers's Rashard Boone, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Boone rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 214 yards on 21 of 36 attempts.
Rogers now has a losing record at 2-3. Boone and Rogers will venture away from home to challenge Sumner at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

A Season-Best Performance from Mal Mal Akuffo Leads Emerald Ridge over Rogers
Emerald Ridge was led to victory by Mal Mal Akuffo, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Akuffo rushed for 164 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
Emerald Ridge now has a winning record of 3-2. Akuffo and Emerald Ridge will face off against Curtis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Seanje' Finister Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Puyallup had to settle for second on Thursday, but Seanje' Finister sure wasn't going down easily. Finister showed up in a big way, picking up four sacks and making ten total tackles. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 5.2 total tackles per game.
Puyallup is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. Finister and Puyallup will host South Kitsap at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Joshua Moultrie's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Emerald Ridge was led to victory by Joshua Moultrie, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Moultrie rushed for 121 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
This year, Moultrie has run in those 3 touchdowns while averaging 57.6 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he was only averaging 5.4 rushing yards per game.

Kyson Douglas Delivers Electric Performance Vs Sumner
The second Puyallup player making an appearance here is Kyson Douglas, and for good reason. He picked up 129 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 67 yards. He torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 70 yards.
Sumner had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Douglas it was a similar story. Douglas picked up 168 receiving yards and two touchdowns the last time he and the Spartans duked it out back in September of 2023.
