The Port Clinton Redskins will head out on the road to face off against the Vermilion Sailors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Port Clinton is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Vermilion in Ohio (Port Clinton is ranked 241st, while Vermilion is ranked 495th).
Last Monday, Port Clinton took a serious blow against Norwalk, falling 59-32. Port Clinton has not had much luck with Norwalk recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Vermilion, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 64-47 loss to Sandusky on Tuesday. Vermilion has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Port Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Vermilion, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Port Clinton took their win against Vermilion when the teams last played back in November of 2022 by a conclusive 62-39. Does Port Clinton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Vermilion turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
