The Eudora Cardinals meant business on Tuesday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Scots squad that has allowed just 27.2 points per contest. Eudora came out on top against Highland Park by a score of 55-47. For Eudora, this counts as revenge for the 56-50 loss Highland Park walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Highland Park saw an underclassman step up: Pearmella Carter scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Carter has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. De'asia Sanders was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with three steals.
Eudora's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Highland Park, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-1.
Eudora will play host again and welcome Ottawa, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Highland Park, they will head out on the road to challenge Lawrence Free State at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lawrence Free State is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
