They strolled past SouthLake Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 72-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Concord Academy found their leader in underclassman Sherod McCormick, who scored 23 points along with five assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McCormick has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Raper, who scored 18 points.
Concord Academy's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-14. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points per game. As for SouthLake Christian Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-15.
Concord Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Gaston Day at 6:30 p.m. on February 9th.
