In what's become a running theme this season, the Alexander Spartans gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 66-46 margin over Meigs. The score was close at the half, but Alexander pulled away in the second half with 43 points.
Alexander got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lily Ryder out in front who scored 23 points along with five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Hudnall, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine assists.
Alexander is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Meigs, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.
Alexander didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-36 defeat vs. River Valley on the 8th. Meigs has also already played their next game, a 52-47 loss against Vinton County on the 8th.
