Platte Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 22-15 to the Arvada Bulldogs. Even though they lost, the Huskies' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.7 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Dylan Severson and Colton Shirley did some serious damage despite the final result: Severson scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5, while Shirley scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Rachael Hayes, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.
Platte Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Arvada, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
