Liberty is 10-0 against Palmer since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Liberty Lancers will be playing at home against the Palmer Terrors at 1:00 p.m. Hopefully Liberty focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Wednesday.
After a string of seven wins, Liberty's good fortune finally ran out. They took a serious blow against Pine Creek, falling 72-44. The matchup was a close 24-23 at the break, but unfortunately for Liberty it sure didn't stay that way.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jacie Bunck, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Gardner, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Palmer didn't have too much trouble with Mesa Ridge at home on Thursday as they won 46-32. The win was just what Palmer needed coming off of a 62-20 defeat in their prior game.
Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Palmer, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.
Liberty strolled past Palmer when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 52-34. Will Liberty repeat their success, or does Palmer have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
