Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Clear Spring). They really took it to the Hedgesville Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-36 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-16.

Hedgesville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylee Bodkins, who went 5 for 12 on her way to 13 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Boyer, who posted eight points and four steals.

With the win, Clear Spring broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for Hedgesville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Clear Spring won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Jefferson at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hedgesville, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Musselman at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
