Shipley pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The match between Shipley and Episcopal Academy wasn't particularly close, with Shipley falling 69-55. Shipley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Episcopal Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Shipley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Henry Rassmussen, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Littles, Jr, who scored 11 points.
Shipley has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Episcopal Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shipley will be home for the holidays to greet Malvern Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Malvern Prep will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line. Episcopal Academy will finish 2023 at home by hosting Radnor on December 28th.
