A well-balanced attack led South Wake over South Guilford HomeSchool in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the South Wake Sabres blew the South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars out of the water with an 83-45 final score. The Sabres have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 30 points or more this season.

South Wake was led to victory by Noah Wright and Lawson Jurgens. Wright went 9 of 17 en route to 22 points, while Jurgens dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Jurgens a new career-high in steals (three). Another player making a difference was Zach Brueggeman, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.

South Wake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive rebound total in three consecutive games.

Despite the loss, South Guilford HomeSchool had strong showings from Jamar Turner, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds, and Nate Martin, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. That was a full 37.8% of South Guilford HomeSchool's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points.

South Wake has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-10.
