Having just played yesterday, the King & Queen Central Royal Tigers will get right back to it and host the West Point Pointers at 6:15 p.m. on February 9th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Thursday, King & Queen Central earned a 49-37 victory over Charles City. The victory made it back-to-back wins for King & Queen Central.
King & Queen Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alyiah Riley, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Riley has scored all season. Amelia Moaney was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, West Point was able to grind out a solid win over Colonial Beach on Wednesday, taking the game 44-37.
King & Queen Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for West Point, they pushed their record up to 12-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
King & Queen Central barely slipped by West Point when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 41-40. Does King & Queen Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Point turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
