Two dominant in Izzy Majarucon and Josie Lynch are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Deer Valley Skyhawks will be home for the holidays to greet the Chatfield Chargers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Chatfield took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Deer Valley, who comes in off a win.
Deer Valley has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 32 points or more this season. They breezed by Bradshaw Mountain at home to the tune of 47-15. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Deer Valley.
Deer Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Majarucon, who scored 12 points along with four steals. The match was Majarucon's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Diamond Stevenson, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Chatfield was the victim of a rough 55-34 defeat at the hands of Green Mountain on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Chatfield has scored all season.
Deer Valley is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Chatfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
