Milton Wright walked away with a 50-39 victory over the Rams on Tuesday. Given C. Milton Wright's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Rams are ranked 196th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
C. Milton Wright was led to victory by Kyle Ashman and Dylan Sander. Ashman dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds, while Sander dropped a double-double on 23 points and 17 rebounds. Sander hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for ten straight games. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Madden, who scored two points along with six rebounds.
C. Milton Wright's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Edgewood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.
C. Milton Wright won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the at 6:45 p.m. on January 31st. Patterson Mill knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten matches -- so hopefully the Mustangs like a good challenge. As for Edgewood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Elks at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
