It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Greenwood Bulldogs had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Mountain Home on the road to the tune of 56-14. The victory was just business as usual for Greenwood, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Leading Greenwood to victory were Kane Archer and Brayedan Davis. Archer threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns, while Davis rushed for 185 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry. Archer is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played. Grant Karnes was another key contributor, picking up 105 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Mountain Home still got an impressive performance from Chris Hubbard, who rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns. Hubbard definitely has the trust of the coaching staff as he's now carried the ball at least 25 times in the last four games he's played.
Greenwood's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Mountain Home, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
Greenwood will face off against Pulaski Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pulaski Academy is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Mountain Home does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
