A Season-Best Performance from Creyo Koop Leads West Elk over Cedar Vale/Dexter
Creyo Koop produced his most outstanding game to date while leading West Elk to the win on Friday. Koop wasn't messing around, picking up 148 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 92 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. The match was his fifth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making six total tackles in addition to snagging an interception which he returned for a touchdown.
If the past is any indication, Koop could be in store for another big game when he takes on Sedan on Friday. Back in September of 2023 (the last time Koop saw the Devils), he rushed for 189 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 99 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Carson Vineyard Goes Supernova in Argonia/Attica Victory
Argonia/Attica picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Carson Vineyard. Vineyard was dynamite, rushing for 156 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, while also picking up 36 receiving yards and a touchdown. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.
Vineyard and Argonia/Attica will take on Central Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Vineyard will face off against Ry Kooiman, the Cougars' star RB. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.

Trent Haag Has Career Rushing Day
West Elk was led to victory by Trent Haag, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Haag rushed for 99 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 153 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
If history really does repeat itself, Haag might just drop another big game when he faces off against Sedan on Friday. Haag rushed for 78 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 204 yards and two touchdowns while completing 92.3% of his passes the last time he and the Devils duked it out back in September of 2023.

Oxford Wins Third-Straight Thanks to Cordell Jordan
Oxford picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Cordell Jordan. Jordan was unstoppable, rushing for 133 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also picking up 70 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
For the season, Jordan has averaged 31.6 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had six rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 11.

Mac Harnden Turns in Season-Best Performance
Argonia/Attica was led to victory by Mac Harnden, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Harnden picked up 77 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 59 yards.
For the season, Harnden has caught 6 touchdowns while averaging 51.4 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging three rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 25.8 rushing yards.
