Athens is 0-3 against Mansfield since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Last Tuesday, Athens didn't have too much trouble with Towanda at home as they won 69-52. The victory was just what Athens needed coming off of a 77-47 defeat in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Connor Mosher, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds. Korey Miller was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six assists and five steals.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Mansfield beat Wyalusing Valley 47-42 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mansfield.
Karson Dominick continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds. Dominick is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jason Harer, who scored 14 points.
Athens has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Mansfield, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.
