Lafayette added to the longest winning streak in Suburban - West this week by beating Oakville, 21-7. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Lancers.
Mehlville made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,068 from 7,923. The advance stemmed from a 37-13 victory over Marquette last week.
Lindbergh's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Chuck Houska threw for 314 and 3 touchdowns and Garrett Krueger had 104 yards receiving. On the ground Krueger chipped in 18 yards. Ben Kraft helped Lindbergh's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 106 yards.
He was 14-23 with 1 interception.
Houska put up the best numbers in passing as the Flyers beat Northwest. Houska's favorite target this week was Krueger, who caught 4 passes for 104 yards.
Lindbergh's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Flyers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Houska has thrown for 1,341 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Krueger has 24 catches for 657 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Lindbergh takes on Lafayette. Tom Beauchamp's team's offense has racked up 145 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Boyd Manne's team has allowed only 95 on the year.
The Lancers are in first place, while the Flyers are in seventh place.
