In what's become a running theme this season, the Milwaukee Juneau Pioneers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They put the hurt on Hamilton/Audubon with a sharp 66-45 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Milwaukee Juneau has posted since December 8, 2023.
Milwaukee Juneau found their leader in underclassman Dooney Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Johnson hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. Takis Tyler was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Milwaukee Juneau pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.1 points per game. As for Hamilton/Audubon, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4.
Milwaukee Juneau won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kiel at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Kiel knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 14 matches -- so hopefully Milwaukee Juneau likes a good challenge. Hamilton/Audubon will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Butler at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th.
