The Hudson Blue Hawks won the last time they faced the Catskill Cats, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Hudson managed a 35-31 victory over the Cats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hudson.
Hudson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malia Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 28 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Jackson has scored at least a third of Hudson's points. Another player making a difference was Moriah Walker, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.
Hudson has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Catskill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.
Hudson will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Catskill, they will head out on the road to take on the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mekeel Christian Academy has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 22.
