Softball Recap: Lancaster Has No Trouble Against Nandua

Lancaster won against Northampton last Monday with 26 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Red Devils put the hurt on the Nandua Warriors with a sharp 26-10 win. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ayla Saunders was a standout: she got on base in all six of her plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those RBI marked the first that she brought in this season. Kelsey Bishoff was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

Lancaster's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.7 runs over those games. As for Nandua, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lancaster will face off against Mathews at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nandua, they will take on Holly Grove Christian at 4:00 p.m. on the 9th.
