Tennessee School for the Deaf had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They put a hurting on South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind to the tune of 58-22.
Tennessee School for the Deaf's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 24 points in the first half. South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind came up with 14 to make it 24-14 heading into the break. The Tennessee School for the Deaf defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 8 and all but finishing the game. This was the first game for both teams, giving Tennessee School for the Deaf a 1-0 record and starting South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind off at 0-1.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Tennessee School for the Deaf take on South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind at 7:00 PM. As for South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind, they will face off against Tennessee School for the Deaf. Tennessee School for the Deaf will be strutting in after a win while South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind will be stumbling in from a loss.
